Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam is set to host the ‘Technology for Humanity’ international conference in January 2024, as announced by the university’s spokesperson on Saturday. An agreement has been formalized between Sindh Agriculture University and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) to collaboratively organize the two-day conference, themed “Technology for Humanity.”
Global experts, researchers, and IT specialists from various countries are expected to participate, delving into discussions on the pivotal role of technology in human life. The conference will facilitate online engagement from experts in developed countries, presenting papers on the significance of technology in enhancing human life.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Rector of the Institute of Business Management Karachi and Vice Chairman of IEEE Karachi Section, Professor Dr. Tariq Raheem Soomro, and Dr. Muhammad Yaqoob Kondhar representing Sindh Agriculture University, outlining the arrangements for the conference.
Scheduled for January 8-9, 2024, the event will be hosted by the Information Technology Center (ITC) of Sindh Agriculture University, with support from IEEE. The conference aims to underscore the importance of technology for humanitarian purposes, with discussions extending to its impact on agriculture, veterinary science, agricultural engineering, and social sciences.
Dr. Fateh Marri, the Vice-Chancellor of SAU, emphasized the significance of the conference, highlighting the crucial role of technology in addressing challenges in human life. The ceremony was attended by Director ITC Professor Dr. Mir Sajjad Hussain Talpur, Coordinator ITC Dr. Zulfiqar Ahmed Mahar, and Professor Dr. Barkatullah Qureshi, among others.
