KARACHI: In order to cut costs, emerging mobile phone company realme has begun assembling handsets in the nation. The cost of realme smartphones has decreased by 40% since the commencement of assembly in Pakistan, with the gain being passed on to the end customer.
Since its launch two years ago, the realme has made huge progress in the Pakistani smartphone industry.
Last year, the realme invested $16 million in Lahore to build an assembly factory. The company’s daily production can range from 2,500 to 4,000 units depending on market demand and the sort of smartphone they’re making at the moment, as the plant produces both low- and mid-range smartphones as well as luxury models.
In order to maintain a seamless operation and high-quality manufacturing, realme HQ has established strict criteria for all procedures and activities. Chinese engineers and technicians give trainings for local employees on these principles and requirements.
Made in Pakistan, for Pakistan is the idea at the realme assembly facility.
Around 800-1,000 employment have been generated in the local economy as a result of the assembly facility, which includes technicians, engineers, and other professionals.
