Quetta will get its first and largest software technology park after a memorandum of understanding is inked.

The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and Ultrasoft Systems have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a public-private collaboration to build a software technology park spanning 13,800 square feet near Quetta International Airport.

Syed Amin Ul Haque, the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications, was present at the MoU signing ceremony in Islamabad last week.

The software technology park, according to the information, will be equipped with the most up-to-date equipment and facilities.

Minister of Information Technology, Syed Amin Ul Haq, spoke at the event and praised the development as another step toward a Digital Pakistan by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom. “The current government has given the IT industry high priority in its efforts to boost Pakistan’s economy,” he added.

Syed Amin ul Haq, the Minister of Information Technology, stated that by the end of the year, more than 25 software technology parks will be operational, 11 of which will be located in KPK districts.
