LAHORE: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has taken a significant step towards supporting freelancers, start-ups, and entrepreneurs by launching a co-working center in Gujrat under its e-Earn program. This collaboration with Co-working Space Center, a prominent institute in the city, aims to provide a conducive working environment for aspiring professionals.
The e-Earn program has already established operational centers in Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Multan, Faisalabad, DG Khan, and Sialkot in partnership with private organizations. The initiative focuses on offering working spaces, free internet, electricity, and access to training facilities to empower entrepreneurs, freelancers, workers, and small businesses.
As the largest co-working network for freelancers in Punjab, e-Earn places special emphasis on promoting inclusion and diversity, striving to create equal work opportunities for women and differently-abled individuals.
Freelancers with an impressive work profile and a valid CNIC can easily register for a seat at the co-working center. The age limit for participants ranges from 18 to 40 years, and the government is supporting freelancers by subsidizing 70 percent of the registration fee, ensuring accessibility and affordability.
