PTA has submitted recommendations to the government aimed at combating the spread of anti-Pakistan propaganda on social media platforms. The regulator has identified several key challenges, including the absence of international internet governance agreements, the proliferation of illegal content, and the anonymity of online users.

To address these issues, PTA has proposed a comprehensive strategy involving the development of a national consensus on social media management, strengthening the capacity of courts to handle cybercrime cases, and enhancing public awareness about responsible online behavior.

The authority has also emphasized the need to improve law enforcement capabilities to effectively counter online threats. By implementing these measures, PTA aims to create a safer online environment for Pakistani citizens and protect national security.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995.
