P@SHA has officially launched its State of the IT Industry Survey 2025, marking a significant step toward gathering extensive data and insights on the current landscape of Pakistan’s information technology and IT-enabled services sector. The survey is being positioned as the country’s first comprehensive diagnosis of the industry, aiming to capture the experiences, challenges, and growth trends across all levels of the tech ecosystem. Stakeholders from software houses, outsourcing companies, startups, and service providers are encouraged to participate and contribute their perspectives.

The initiative is not limited to P@SHA members; it is open to all individuals and organizations operating within Pakistan’s broader technology ecosystem. This inclusivity aims to ensure the data reflects the diverse realities of tech firms operating at different scales, including freelancers, SMEs, and larger enterprises. The survey is designed to be completed in approximately 20 to 30 minutes and can be accessed via https://champ.ly/yc7hHty8.

By opening this nationwide consultation, P@SHA is inviting industry voices to collectively shape how digital growth is documented and understood. The insights gathered from this survey will inform the upcoming State of the IT Industry Report, which will serve as a key reference point for policymakers, investors, and international stakeholders seeking to understand the maturity, potential, and strategic needs of Pakistan’s digital economy.

This effort comes at a time when Pakistan’s technology sector continues to evolve amid local and global shifts in digital demand. While there has been increasing focus on startup activity and export growth in recent years, many companies still face structural challenges related to infrastructure, payments, regulation, and talent development. Through this survey, P@SHA intends to gather data that is not just quantitative but also qualitative, reflecting the sentiments and operational realities that shape the ecosystem’s trajectory.

The findings will enable P@SHA to better advocate for the needs of the industry, engage more effectively with the public sector, and push for policy reforms that support long-term digital development. It is also an opportunity for stakeholders to voice their experiences in areas such as taxation, compliance, funding access, market entry barriers, and export facilitation.

P@SHA, known for its role in representing Pakistan’s software and services industry, continues to act as a bridge between private sector stakeholders and government institutions. Through its ongoing initiatives and surveys, it remains committed to ensuring that the collective interests of the technology community are highlighted and addressed.

All participants are encouraged to take part in the survey and help create a shared knowledge base that supports more accurate, data-driven strategies for industry advancement. By pooling insights from across the country, the tech ecosystem can contribute to a more robust, informed, and inclusive digital roadmap for Pakistan.
