P @SHA and a delegation from Gilgit-Baltistan’s IT sector embarked on a significant journey to Peshawar. The visit, part of an ongoing effort to foster innovation and collaboration within Pakistan’s growing tech landscape, provided valuable exposure to various key technology initiatives in KPK.
The day began with a visit to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB), where the delegates delved into the province’s progressive initiatives aimed at promoting IT development. KPITB has been at the forefront of technological advancements in the region, working to establish an inclusive and robust digital infrastructure to cater to both urban and rural areas. The delegates were given a firsthand look at the various projects that KPITB has been driving to nurture digital literacy and entrepreneurship, which is key to the province’s economic development.
Following their visit to KPITB, the delegates traveled to the National Incubation Center (NIC) Peshawar, where they had the opportunity to engage with budding startups. NIC Peshawar has become a beacon of innovation, offering incubation services to tech entrepreneurs and startups, helping them transform their ideas into scalable businesses. Next, the delegation visited Innovista Peshawar, an innovation hub that serves as a launchpad for tech-driven developments. Innovista is known for its commitment to fostering innovation and providing a platform for technology companies to thrive. Here, the delegates got an inside look at the exciting developments in the local tech ecosystem, seeing firsthand how Innovista is driving local innovation and contributing to the economic prosperity of the region. With a strong focus on collaboration, Innovista serves as a meeting point for tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and investors who are keen on pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the tech space.
After an enriching day of exploration and learning, the delegates took a break for a refreshing lunch, before attending the HBL P@SHA CXO Meetup at Serena Hotel Peshawar. The meetup gathered some of the most prominent industry leaders from across the IT sector for a series of discussions aimed at addressing key challenges and opportunities within the industry. Topics ranged from the latest advancements in technology to strategies for scaling tech businesses in Pakistan. The event offered attendees the opportunity to network with high-level professionals, exchange ideas, and build partnerships that could drive the growth of the country’s IT ecosystem.
