Faisal Yousaf, Chairman of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), emphasized the transformative goals of the BizLinks initiative, aiming to enhance Pakistan’s digital presence. Yousaf shared these insights during a progress review meeting held on Monday, where he highlighted BizLinks as PITB’s latest venture, strategically partnering with private sector tech leaders to bolster the nation’s digital footprint and IT exports.

Since its launch in May 2023, BizLinks has evolved into a pivotal platform for collaborative engagement, forming solid partnerships through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). Key organizations, including Infocomm Technologies, Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT), and AlphaBold, have joined forces with PITB to explore business opportunities on a national and global scale.

Yousaf stressed the significance of public-private collaboration in advancing IT exports, foreseeing its potential to attract Foreign Direct Investment, enhance Punjab’s technological capabilities, and elevate the overall profile of the province. The initiative marks a substantial stride toward digital transformation and global cooperation. Importantly, PITB flagship products, including e-Pay Punjab, Ease of Doing Business (EoDB), e-FOAS, e-Stamping, and the School Information System (SIS), have been integrated into the BizLinks initiative.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come.
