Computerworld as technology media partner of PASHA ICT Awards 2025 is proud to feature the announcements of winners in the Tertiary Students subcategory. This category highlights the exceptional creativity, technical skill, and problem-solving abilities of students pursuing higher education, showcasing projects that address real-world challenges through innovative technology applications. PASHA ICT Awards continues to provide a platform to encourage and recognize emerging talent in Pakistan’s technology ecosystem.

Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad, secured the top position with its GeoGemma | Google Research project, which demonstrates advanced applications in space and geospatial technology. This initiative reflects the ability of tertiary students to combine research, innovation, and practical problem-solving to create impactful solutions. Runner-up positions were awarded to National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) for its OsteoScreen platform, NUST College of E&ME for Swift Chip Nexus, and Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi for its Speech-Enabled Machine Translation System for Pakistani Languages. Each of these projects exemplifies how higher-education students are addressing challenges in healthcare, electronics, and language technology through innovative approaches.

Additional appreciation awards were presented to Institute of Space Technology for the Design and Development of Digital Twin for 1U CubeSat, Bahria University Islamabad for NeuroScanAI, and Bahria University Islamabad for AI-Driven Wheat Rust Detection. These projects demonstrate a commitment to advanced research, practical innovation, and applications that can benefit society.

The Tertiary Students subcategory at PASHA ICT Awards 2025 highlights the potential of higher-education students to deliver solutions that combine creativity, technical expertise, and real-world impact. By honoring achievements like those of Institute of Space Technology, NUST, Fatima Jinnah Women University, and Bahria University, PASHA emphasizes the importance of nurturing talent and supporting Pakistan’s next generation of technology innovators.
