Gear up, Pakistan! Asia Pacific ICT Alliance APICTA 2025 People’s Choice Awards have opened this year’s public voting, placing young Pakistani innovators in the spotlight once again. In the Senior Student category, SenseGuard has earned a nomination, while the Tertiary Student category features two strong contenders from Pakistan, OsteoScreen and GeoGemma Google Research. These nominations reflect the growing presence of Pakistani youth in regional innovation competitions, where creative solutions and forward thinking continue to gain recognition.

Pakistan’s participation in APICTA 2025 highlights the steady rise of student driven tech developments in the country. SenseGuard stands out in the Senior Student category for its focus on practical problem solving through technology, demonstrating how early stage innovators are addressing real world challenges. In the Tertiary Student category, OsteoScreen and GeoGemma Google Research represent projects that combine academic research with applied innovation. Their selection underscores how university level teams in Pakistan are increasingly contributing to the broader Asia Pacific innovation ecosystem. With all three nominees competing in the People’s Choice Awards, public support will be a key factor in determining how far these projects go at the international level.

The voting process for the People’s Choice Awards has been designed to allow the public to participate directly in celebrating the achievements of student innovators across the Asia Pacific region. Voters can select entries from either category and must choose exactly five projects before submitting their vote. After entering an email address, the vote is confirmed through a verification link, ensuring each vote is recorded accurately. This system not only promotes transparency but also encourages wider engagement, enabling supporters from Pakistan and beyond to help elevate the country’s top student teams.

Voting for the People’s Choice Awards remains open until Monday, 8 December 2025, at 5:00 AM Pakistan Time, which corresponds with 8:00 AM Kaohsiung Time. With the deadline approaching, supporters are encouraged to take part and help increase the visibility of Pakistani talent on the APICTA platform. Public voting plays an important role in acknowledging the hard work and creativity of students who bring fresh perspectives to technology and innovation.

Pakistan’s nominees in APICTA 2025 represent the country’s growing commitment to nurturing young talent in science and technology. SenseGuard, OsteoScreen and GeoGemma Google Research showcase a blend of technical skill, originality and social impact that reflects the potential of Pakistan’s next generation of innovators. By participating in the People’s Choice Awards, citizens have an opportunity to highlight these achievements and contribute to their success on an international stage. Vote Now!
