Pakistan Learning Nest is set to host an exclusive cybersecurity workshop titled “Countering Cyber Espionage with Insider Threat Management (ITM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Digital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR)” on February 15, 2025, at Mövenpick Hotel, Karachi. This highly anticipated event aims to bring together industry leaders, cybersecurity experts, and professionals to discuss advanced strategies for mitigating insider threats and countering cyber espionage.

The workshop will feature two distinguished guest speakers: Zeeshan Siddiqui, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Bank Alfalah Limited, and Salman Ahmed, CISO at the National Aerospace Science & Technology Park (NASTP). Both industry leaders will share insights on evolving cybersecurity challenges and the critical importance of proactive insider threat management.

In addition to the keynote sessions, expert facilitators Fahad Sheikh, an Insider Threat & DFIR Specialist Examiner at Bank Alfalah Limited, and Dr. Muhammad Asad Arfeen, Scientific Director at Internet Security Lab, NED University, will lead in-depth discussions on the latest cybersecurity practices. Their sessions will cover real-world case studies and best practices in detecting and mitigating insider threats, securing sensitive data, and implementing robust digital forensic investigations.

A key highlight of the event is an interactive panel discussion, where top cybersecurity professionals will engage in thought-provoking conversations on emerging threats, innovative countermeasures, and strategies for strengthening Pakistan’s cybersecurity framework. The panel will also include a Q&A session, allowing attendees to gain direct insights from experts on pressing cybersecurity concerns and solutions.

This workshop presents a vital opportunity for IT professionals, security analysts, and decision-makers to enhance their cybersecurity skills, learn about cutting-edge security strategies, and network with some of Pakistan’s most influential cybersecurity experts. Given the increasing risk of cyber espionage and data breaches, the event is expected to offer actionable knowledge on insider threat detection, risk mitigation, and digital forensics techniques to help organizations safeguard their critical infrastructure.

Registrations for the workshop are currently open, and interested participants can secure their spot by reaching out via the provided contact details. As cybersecurity remains a growing concern in both corporate and national security landscapes, initiatives like this play a crucial role in fostering a more secure digital ecosystem in Pakistan.
