With elections upon us this year Code For Pakistan and Media Matters for Democracy brings the Open Data Scrapathon with the theme Accountability through Public Records
Code for Pakistan along with Media Matters for Democracy is organizing an Open Data Scrapathon with the theme of “Accountability through Public Records” on Saturday, 14 April 2018 in Islamabad from 11am to 4pm at the MMfD Office, F-11 Markaz.
The theme of the Scrapathon is in line with the fact that the elections are upon us in Pakistan and that the public needs to know how their elected representatives have performed over the past five years. Therefore, the Scrapathon will be examining the websites of national and provincial assemblies and making the information on legislative performance available in open data formats.
This is Scrapathon is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is interested in civic technology or wants to improve government accountability through open access to information, and will also serve as a great chance for individuals to meet like-minded coders, developers, and journalists.
So hurry up and register now!
