To create a policy on artificial intelligence, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) has made the decision (AI).
According to insiders, it has asked specialists for advice on the policy. The ministry will receive advice from AI specialists, following which a rough draught of the policy will be created.
The government wants to invest in the growth and acceptance of this industry to ensure its advantages for the economy and society, according to MoITT officials, who explained the rationale for the decision to draught an AI strategy. Through the strategy, the government also hopes to give the private sector resources so that it may make investments in the AI industry. Actions must be taken to encourage young people to enrol in Big Data, Machine Learning, Robotics, and other related courses if the AI industry is to advance. As a result, the policy will include actions that will motivate academic institutions in this direction, according to the sources.
The government is moving in the right way, according to AI specialists. The world is moving quickly toward AI since it has become essential in every industry. Even India has developed national initiatives to encourage the use and growth of IA, following Canada, China, America, and Japan.
According to experts, many industries in Pakistan have begun employing AI, including vehicle e-challans issued by Safe City cameras. Additionally, a 60% growth is anticipated in this industry over the next several years as a result of business adoption of automation technologies.
