Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan is inviting IT sector companies and industry experts to participate in an Open Public Participation initiative aimed at developing the National Open Data Ecosystem in the country. The Market Outreach Session, organized under the Digital Economy Enhancement Project (DEEP), will provide a platform for prospective bidders, technology providers, and stakeholders to engage with government representatives and understand the requirements for contributing to Pakistan’s digital infrastructure.

Scheduled for 11th March 2026, the session will focus on the National Open Data Portal, an initiative designed to enhance transparency and enable access to critical public datasets. Representatives from the ministry and project authorities will guide participants on technical, regulatory, and operational aspects of the portal. The outreach session will run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time and will include presentations, discussions, and Q&A opportunities with experts from MoITT and DEEP.

Participation in the session is mandatory for interested vendors, suppliers, and solution providers. Registrations are being collected through official MoITT links, with participants expected to submit their details in advance. The session is positioned as a key step for IT companies to explore collaborative solutions that align with global best practices in open data management. This initiative is also part of Pakistan’s broader digital strategy, promoting public-private partnerships and facilitating innovative solutions for data-driven governance.

For more information, interested parties can access registration links, overview documents, and virtual meeting connections via the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication’s official website here. The outreach session represents a concerted effort to engage IT industry players in shaping the country’s open data ecosystem while ensuring compliance with national standards and objectives.
