Lucky Landmark, in partnership with LMKT and Orbit Startups, has secured a five-year contract to manage the National Incubation Center (NIC) Karachi. The consortium was awarded the project by Ignite, the Ministry of IT and Telecom.
Under the new management, NIC Karachi will shift its focus to key sectors including Industrial Automation, Fintech, Cybersecurity, and women-led startups. This strategic shift aims to address emerging market needs and foster innovation in these critical areas.
The consortium brings together a unique blend of expertise. Lucky Landmark, a subsidiary of the YB Group, offers extensive experience in real estate and infrastructure. LMKT, a leading technology company, provides a strong track record in IT solutions and incubation. Orbit Startups, an international accelerator, brings global investment and mentorship capabilities to the table.
The handover marks a new chapter for NIC Karachi, which under LMKT’s previous management, has grown into Pakistan’s largest tech incubator. The center has successfully supported 299 startups, creating over a million jobs and generating billions of rupees in revenue and investments.
Ignite expressed confidence in the consortium’s ability to build upon NIC Karachi’s achievements and drive further growth in the startup ecosystem. The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for entrepreneurs, stimulate job creation, and contribute to Pakistan’s economic development.
By combining their strengths and resources, the consortium aims to position NIC Karachi as a leading hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in Pakistan.
