Gaming is still seen as a slow-growing industry in Pakistan. However, the figures illustrating the rise of Pakistan’s gaming sector paint a different picture!
Gaming has a little proportion of the billion-dollar tech business. The local gambling sector, on the other hand, has recently seen a surge. Top gaming firms including FRAG, GenITeam, The Game Storm Studios, NARSUN studios, and Game District worked on worldwide projects with Netflix, Lego, NFL, and others last year, bringing in more than $25 million in income.

Pakistani gamers such as Sumail Hassan have made more than $3.8 million playing Dota 2 in the E-sports arena. That’s a total of 67 CRORES! While the game production business is worth $218 billion globally, Pakistan’s Gaming Studios are just getting started with their ambitious expansion goals.
In August 2021, Unity, in conjunction with Game Train and the Foundation for Youth Employment Pakistan, launched the World’s First Instructor-Led Junior Developer Program in Pakistan. Unity is the world’s leading platform for creating and operating real-time 3D content, and the engine behind half of the world’s most popular mobile games. It was launched in collaboration with Game Train, an industry-led initiative that brings together all of the major studios, and the Foundation for Youth Employment Pakistan.

An industry-led effort to bring together all of the major studios, including the Foundation for Youth Employment After an extensive recruiting process that received 7000+ applications from throughout Pakistan, Pakistan introduced the first batch of 80+ learners.

They have now graduated its inaugural class, with a record-breaking job placement rate of 80% of the class being hired within 40 days of graduation, thanks to 17+ Hiring Partners. The graduates are currently working at some of Pakistan’s most famous gaming studios, and they are poised to become the country’s future game changers!
Let’s hear from Bilal Naseem and Farwa Bashir about how GameTrain helped them become skilled game developers.
