Jazz GameNow, Pakistan’s premier gaming platform, powered Takedown 2025, one of the country’s most anticipated esports events, held from October 24 to 26 at the Nishtar Complex in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. The event brought together gaming enthusiasts, professional players, and industry stakeholders for an action-packed three days of competition, entertainment, and digital engagement. With a record prize pool of PKR 2.5 million, Takedown 2025 attracted a massive turnout and showcased Pakistan’s growing stature in the global gaming community.

The event was headlined by Tekken 8, featuring the country’s top talent competing for supremacy in one of the most intense gaming tournaments seen in Pakistan to date. Alongside the main contest, Takedown 2025 included Fatal Fury matchups, cosplay parades, fan meet-ups, and exclusive giveaways, turning the venue into a celebration of gaming culture. The competition progressed through thrilling stages, beginning with Tekken 8 pools on the first day, followed by Top 128 and Fatal Fury rounds on the second, and concluding with the Tekken 8 Top 8 grand finale on the final day. Each stage was marked by high energy and passionate spectatorship, highlighting the growing popularity of esports across the country.

Global icons Arslan Ash and Atif Butt, both renowned for their contributions to Pakistan’s international esports recognition, made special appearances that added further excitement to the event. Their participation underscored the country’s rising influence in the competitive gaming world and inspired young gamers to pursue esports as a legitimate career path. The combination of elite gameplay, interactive experiences, and community engagement made Takedown 2025 a standout moment for Pakistan’s digital entertainment landscape.

Speaking about the collaboration, Syed Arsalan Qamar, Head of Gaming at Jazz, said that GameNow remains dedicated to empowering and celebrating Pakistan’s vibrant gaming community. He emphasized that partnering with Baaz for Takedown 2025 aligns with GameNow’s mission to provide local players with platforms to showcase their skills and connect with global audiences. He added that esports has evolved beyond traditional gaming, becoming a hub for creativity, teamwork, and digital entrepreneurship, and that Jazz continues to support initiatives that contribute to this transformation.

GameNow has been instrumental in advancing Pakistan’s esports ecosystem by introducing tournaments, leaderboards, hyper-casual titles, vouchers, and streaming services that engage millions of users nationwide. The platform’s previous collaborations, such as its partnership with Garena Free Fire in 2023 to launch Pakistan’s first dedicated esports league and its continued work with Free Fire in 2025, demonstrate its long-term commitment to shaping a sustainable and thriving gaming culture in the country. Through initiatives like Takedown 2025, Jazz GameNow continues to build opportunities for youth empowerment and digital inclusion, reaffirming its role in driving Pakistan’s digital entertainment evolution.
