Jazz has expanded its relief efforts in flood-affected regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by extending free calling services to all networks. This decision comes as a major step forward from its earlier initiative that covered on-net, PTCL, and 911 calls, ensuring that residents in disaster-hit areas are not restricted in staying connected during this period of severe disruption. By widening the scope of free calls, Jazz has removed barriers for communication between affected families, emergency responders, and humanitarian agencies, highlighting the importance of universal connectivity in times of crisis.

Aamir Ibrahim, CEO Jazz, underscored the role of telecom services during emergencies, noting that connectivity is a lifeline when communities are under distress. The expansion of this facility reflects the operator’s commitment to standing with the people of Pakistan as they face unprecedented challenges caused by floods. Jazz has been leveraging its nationwide infrastructure, technology capabilities, and partnerships to provide immediate relief to those impacted, while also focusing on ensuring resilience in the long run.

The floods have inflicted extensive damage across multiple districts of KP, including Buner, Swat, Shangla, Dir, and Chitral. Homes, roads, and critical infrastructure have been destroyed, leaving residents in urgent need of assistance. In such an environment, where physical access is limited, mobile connectivity serves as a vital tool for coordination of relief efforts and for families seeking to reach loved ones. Jazz’s decision to expand free calls across all networks not only strengthens emergency response but also alleviates the communication burden on communities already facing loss and uncertainty.

As Pakistan rallies together to address the scale of the disaster, initiatives from operators like Jazz play an essential role in bridging communication gaps. By enabling seamless connections for those in flood-hit areas, the company reinforces its role beyond that of a telecom provider, becoming a partner in national resilience and recovery. With this initiative, Jazz has ensured that despite the physical and infrastructural damage caused by floods, communication lines remain open and accessible to all, supporting the broader humanitarian response taking place in KP.
