Ignite National Technology Fund has announced the opening of enrolments for the second batch of its DigiSkills 3.0 Program, offering 300,000 free training seats to learners across Pakistan. The initiative continues to provide accessible online learning opportunities designed to equip youth with essential digital skills. Registrations are now open on a first-come, first-served basis, with the program management encouraging trainees to enroll early to secure a seat, as no additional slots will be added once the capacity is reached.

Under the registration process, new participants are required to create an account on the DigiSkills website and enroll in any two courses from the 16 currently available options. Those who have previously registered can log in directly through the Learning Management System to choose their preferred courses for Batch-02. Each trainee can take up to two courses simultaneously. The new session of DigiSkills 3.0 will begin in December 2025. Program officials have emphasized that due to high demand in previous batches, enrolments will close immediately once all seats are filled, regardless of the official deadline.

The DigiSkills 3.0 initiative, approved earlier this year by the Ignite-National Technology Fund board, represents an expanded and upgraded version of Pakistan’s flagship online learning platform. With a target to train three million individuals over the next three and a half years, the new phase introduces 25 free courses aimed at improving digital literacy, employability, and freelancing capabilities. A total budget of Rs. 1.79 billion has been allocated for this phase. Building upon the foundation of DigiSkills 2.0, which offered 15 courses, DigiSkills 3.0 introduces ten new specialized programs. These include UI/UX and Web Flow, 3D Modeling, Cloud Computing, Shopify Development & Drop Shipping, Artificial Intelligence using Python, Mobile Game and App Development, and Full Stack Development with MERN. Additionally, Startup Strategies and Entrepreneurship courses have been introduced to promote innovation and small business creation among Pakistani youth.

Since its inception in 2018, the DigiSkills platform has trained more than four million individuals across over 300 cities in Pakistan, making it the country’s largest free online learning program. Developed through collaboration between Ignite and the Virtual University of Pakistan, the program focuses on bridging skill gaps and preparing the workforce for the evolving digital economy. A key aspect of the initiative has been its contribution to women’s inclusion in the technology and freelancing sectors, with more than 800,000 women completing training to date. This achievement reflects the program’s broader goal of ensuring equitable access to education and professional opportunities through technology. By continuing to expand its curriculum and outreach, DigiSkills 3.0 aims to strengthen Pakistan’s digital ecosystem and build a workforce ready for the demands of the global digital marketplace.
