In celebration of its 10th birthday, Google Play unveiled a new logo. The company is also giving Google Play Points a 10x boost as a way of celebrating the occasion.
The new Google Play logo has similarities with the previous logo, but the dilution of three colours is one of the most obvious alterations. The brand-new colours go in with Google’s general service colour scheme.
The slight adjustments to the green, blue, yellow, and red colours blend well with the freshly modified Google Chrome logo.
“We’re launching a new logo that better embodies the magic of Google and complements the identity shared by many of our useful products, like Search, Assistant, Photos, Gmail, and more,” says Tian Lim, VP of Google Play.
A celebration of Google Play’s 10 years honours the “2.5 billion people in over 190 countries” who use its services.
