XGEEKSTERS encourages the youth and budding entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts to empower themselves and aim to head in the IT sector in the country. As a way to promote their cause, they have collaborated with Google to organize the Google CloudFest in Lahore.
The Google Cloud Fest 2019 is an event that brings together cloud enthusiasts and developer community to learn more on Kotlin. The event aims to engage the present Android developer community in Pakistan to start leaning towards Kotlin as their primary stack for developing Android applications. The event took place on the 5th July at the University of Punjab Quaid e Azam Campus (New Campus Canal Road) in Lahore. The main organizers for the event were Xgeeksters who collaborated with reputed groups such as the Punjab University Lahore chapter of E-Rozgaar as well as Ejad Labs as well.The event lasted for 5 hours and went from 10 am to 5 pm.
The event was free to attend for all interested participants. This event focused on having a Hands-on Workshop on “Kotlin & ML with Tensorflow”. The focus is on Kotlin as it is a global series of community-led events where developers can learn the essentials and best practices of Kotlin in Android, Google Cloud Platform, and multiplatform development. Moreover, TensorFlow is an end-to-end open source platform for machine learning. It provides a comprehensive, flexible ecosystem of tools, libraries and community resources that lets researchers push the state-of-the-art in ML and developers easily build and deploy ML powered applications.
