The federal government has initiated a comprehensive rightsizing process, with five key ministries tasked with submitting detailed performance reports by July 12, 2024.

The Ministry of IT and Telecom, Ministry of Industries and Production, Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Ministry of SAFRON, and Ministry of National Health Services are the initial focus of this reform effort.

The rightsizing committee has instructed the ministries to provide comprehensive performance data, allowing for a thorough evaluation of their operations. Ministers and secretaries have the option to attend their respective ministry’s briefing if they desire.

This move is seen as the first step in a broader government initiative to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995.
