EDOTCO Group CEO Meets Minister of State for IT to Discuss Telecom Infrastructure

High-level delegation of EDOTCO Group, led by its Group CEO Mohamed Adlan Ahmad Tajuddin, met with Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja on Wednesday. 

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest related to telecom infrastructure were discussed. Minister Khawaja emphasized the government’s commitment to digitalization in the country, highlighting the importance of providing quality broadband and internet services to the masses.

The minister underscored the significant role of the IT and telecom sector in the economic uplift of the country. She assured the delegation that the ministry is working alongside the telecom industry to resolve issues facing the sector.

Minister Khawaja emphasized the vital support of EDOTCO Group for the development of the telecom industry in Pakistan. She invited EDOTCO Group to further invest in Pakistan’s telecom sector, emphasizing the conducive atmosphere for foreign investment in the country.

The EDOTCO delegation acknowledged the commendable role of the IT ministry in promoting the IT and telecommunication sector. Both sides agreed to form a working group to further cooperation.

The EDOTCO delegation included Annis Sheikh Mohammed, Group CFO, Noreen Sabrina Mohd Noor, Group Head of Corporate Communications, Abdul Aziz, Country Managing Director, and Muhammad Rehan Farooqui, Director of Corporate Affairs and Planning.

Additional Secretary MoITT Aisha Humera Moriani, CEO NITB Babar Majeed Bhatti, Member Telecom Muhammad Jahanzeb Rahim, and DG International Coordination Syed Jawwad Ali Sherazi were also present in the meeting.
