“Pakistan is among the top 10 countries most impacted by climate change,” said Ahmed Tanveer, Chief Operations Officer at Daraz. “A lot of efforts are happening at the national level to change this situation, and we can already see some results as we have descended from 5th to 8th in the recent ranking.”“We at Daraz believe we have a responsibility to assist improve this situation and have set a goal for ourselves to reduce our carbon footprint. This project alone will help us lower our carbon footprint by 104 metric tonnes per year, which is similar to planting 176 trees every year. “Hopefully, this will be the first of many sustainability projects that we will undertake in the coming years,” he added.
Environmental contamination is on the rise, raising worrisome concerns about the growing population. The need has prompted a number of businesses to focus their efforts on developing a sustainable energy supply, which entails efficient energy consumption and a reduction in the use of liquid energy, such as gasoline and diesel.
