PTA denies claims of internet spying

Pakistan telecommunication authority denies charges of internet surveillance. . A non governmental organization (NGO) Bolo Bhi an activist group has queried PTA apropos for the internet surveillance and electronic rights of people of Pakistan. PTA’s statement came after the internet rights activist group, Bolo Bhi pointed out the claims. The directed queries also included, Bolo Bhi asking the telecom operators to share the information regarding the tools that were being used to monitor the activities of citizens on the web.

 

Telenor Pakistan – New CEO appointed

Michael Foley has taken over Telenor Pakistan as it new CEO. Michael Foley, a Canadian presently, is serving Canadian State Lottery, Atlantic Lottery Corporation as the Chief Commercial Officer. Michael’s portfolio encompasses of his services rendered to telecom, internet and mobile finance.

Google Purchase Startup Stackdriver

Google has purchased the startup, stackdriver. The startup offers services which enables developers to monitor activities on apps and the cloud. 

This acquisition was taken in order to enhance Google’s monitoring capabilities. This new move will authorize the customers to keep an eye on errors, improve performance and study user behavior online.
