Computer Research (Pvt) Limited (CRPL), a company with over three decades of experience in technology development, has entered into a strategic partnership with Pakistan MNP Database (Guarantee) Limited (PMD) to launch portME, a next-generation Mobile Number Portability (MNP) Centralized Management System. The partnership was formalized through an agreement signed by Khalid Shamsi, CEO of CRPL, and Reza Bokhary, CEO of PMD. This initiative reflects both organizations’ commitment to enhancing telecom infrastructure in Pakistan and making locally developed telecom solutions competitive on a global scale.

The portME system is designed as a centralized and scalable platform that enables mobile number portability in a more streamlined, secure, and efficient manner. It represents a significant technological advancement, supporting the dynamic requirements of mobile network operators and regulatory bodies in managing number portability. By introducing automation, centralized control, and enhanced reliability, portME aims to simplify MNP processes, reduce operational delays, and ensure higher accuracy in number transfers.

CRPL brings with it 36 years of industry experience, marked by continuous innovation and the delivery of robust enterprise-grade technology solutions. The company has played a pivotal role in digital transformation projects across various sectors and has now turned its focus to modernizing telecommunications systems in partnership with PMD. With the launch of portME, CRPL further expands its footprint in telecom-focused software systems while offering a solution that aligns with international best practices.

PMD, established as the central authority to manage MNP in Pakistan, has been at the forefront of ensuring number portability services remain accessible and seamless for consumers. By working with CRPL on this initiative, PMD reinforces its role in driving technological modernization in the telecom space. The collaboration also signals an intention to position Pakistan as a capable developer of core telecom technologies, potentially opening up export opportunities for portME in regional and international markets.

The development of portME reflects a broader trend of domestic technology firms aligning with regulatory and operational entities to create indigenous solutions that respond to industry demands. With telecom subscribers increasingly expecting frictionless digital services, the implementation of portME is expected to deliver both operational efficiency for telecom operators and better user experiences for consumers.More information about CRPL’s history and solutions can be found at www.cr-pl.com, as the company celebrates 36 years of innovation and excellence in the technology sector.
