Baytee for Women Empowerment in Pakistan

launch of the application Baytee, Siddiqui applauded the roles of the IT Ministry and developer of the application.

The app designed to empower women of Pakistan inaugurated by Sindh Governor Mr. Imran Ismail. The ceremony was held with private sponsors of Karachi by the ministry of Information Technology and Communications. Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Mayor of Karachi Mr. Waseem Akhtar, Huawei Pakistan CEO Saif Chi, Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman also attended the event.

The project of MoITT, the app called Baytee was made to promote women of Pakistani society by providing them resources for educational awareness including women’s rights, laws, regulations, and health services. It also provides them job opportunities and provides a connection with other women to discuss their matters.

Governor Sindh, Mr. Imran Ismail highlighted that the app would give rights to women of Pakistan society according to the state of Madina. He considered this step crucial in the development of Pakistani society

The population of women is half of the total population of Pakistan where most of them are not allowed to work and gain an education which is their basic right.

“If this permission had been granted, the women would have left the men far behind,” he said.

Additionally, the CEO of Huawei Pakistan, Saif Chi, in his address stated Huawei’s support in unlocking the potential of women digitally, saying that the project is “very much in line with Huawei’s vision of bringing digital to every person, home, and organization for a fully connected, intelligent world.”
