Startup Istanbul is the leading startup event which brings together founders, investors and executives in the region. It is one of the largest gatherings of over 500 startups and internet companies, 500+ business angels and venture capitalists from 80+ countries throughout Asia and Europe.

Startup Istanbul is organized by Etohum, a leading startup accelerator and seed investor in Turkey. Every year, Etohum selects the most promising startups from thousands of applicants and trains and mentors the teams for an acceleration period of 3 months. Etohum works with world class mentors, including advisors from Silicon Valley. The three day networking event is to take place this year from the 19th of October to the 22nd of October 2018.

Asra Nadeem, the Vice President at DraperU, a pre-accelerator, Asra leads the startup, corporate and investor education programs as a speaker at the 3 day event. Asra directly works with governments, universities and international incubators to establish local entrepreneurial hubs, investment opportunities and corporate innovation initiatives.

She also holds the title of being the first female product manager in Pakistan for rozee.pk (jobsite) and naseeb.com (matchmaking for Muslims). She later led Bayt.com’s special projects team to build web infrastructure for government organizations and MNC’s in the MENA region.

about
CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
