A new CEO has been appointed by the Pak Oman Microfinance Bank.

The Pak Oman Microfinance Bank’s Board of Directors has named Farooq Rashid as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).


Rashid has over 25 years of senior management experience, including a decade with AKBL, MMBL, and NRSP-MFBL, where he was responsible for strategy development and the promotion of digital financial services.


Rashid holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kennesaw State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Brenau University in the United States. In 1996, he began his career as a Management Trainee officer at Askari Commercial Bank Ltd., and while working for Mobilink Bank Ltd., he founded JazzCash. His most recent position was as the NRSP – MFBL’s Head of Digital Financial Services.
