Mercantile Pakistan, the Apple Authorized Distributor in Pakistan, has announced the launch of the Mercantile Protection Plan powered by SureCover. The new offering has been developed in response to customer feedback and is designed to provide iPhone users with localized support and additional protection beyond the standard manufacturer warranty.

With the latest generation of iPhones reaching a wider consumer base across the country, Mercantile identified increasing demand for protection against everyday accidents that fall outside conventional warranty coverage. The Mercantile Protection Plan aims to address common real world risks faced by users, including screen damage, back glass cracks, and liquid exposure. Company officials state that the initiative reflects a broader focus on strengthening after sales support and enhancing the ownership experience for customers investing in premium devices.

Speaking about the launch, Mr Zeeshan Saleem, Head of Marketing at Mercantile, said customers have consistently expressed the need for a dependable safety net to safeguard their devices. He noted that the new protection plan represents a commitment to supporting customers beyond the point of sale, ensuring assistance if unexpected incidents occur. The plan offers 12 months of accidental damage coverage starting from device activation and introduces liquid damage protection, a feature not currently available from other providers in the local market. Coverage includes front screen replacement for accidental display cracks, back glass replacement for the latest iPhone models, and protection against spills or immersion related damage.

In addition to accidental coverage, the Mercantile Protection Plan integrates with the company’s existing service ecosystem. Upon free registration, customers automatically qualify for a two year warranty structure comprising the standard one year Apple International Warranty followed by an additional one year Mercantile warranty. This extended arrangement has gained traction among consumers seeking added reliability and longer term device assurance. The plan is available exclusively to customers who purchase their iPhones through Mercantile’s authorized retail network. To activate coverage, users are required to register their device within 30 days of activation through the official link at sure-cover.com/register-protection-plan. By aligning global technology standards with locally accessible support services, Mercantile is reinforcing its position in Pakistan’s premium smartphone segment while expanding protection options for iPhone users nationwide.
