As 2025 comes to an end, Yango Ride, part of the global technology company Yango Group, has shared insights into the mobility trends that shaped travel and movement across Pakistan throughout the year. From everyday commutes to airport transfers and cargo deliveries, the year reflected changing mobility needs, with Yango passengers playing a central role. Through its SuperApp approach, Yango Ride continued to expand beyond ride hailing, supporting the movement of both people and goods while strengthening its presence in Pakistan’s urban mobility landscape.
Data shared by Yango Ride shows that the Suzuki Alto emerged as the most booked vehicle on the platform in 2025, earning the distinction of being the most preferred car among riders. Its compact design, fuel efficiency, and suitability for city travel made it a consistent choice for thousands of daily trips. Alongside vehicle preferences, Economy remained the most popular tariff, underlining the importance of affordability and reliability for everyday transportation needs across major cities. Rider engagement also reached notable levels, with the highest number of trips taken by a single customer recorded at 1,933 rides within the year, reflecting how some users integrated Yango Ride into their daily routines for work, errands, and personal travel.
Travel patterns across Pakistan highlighted shopping malls and transport hubs as the most frequently visited destinations. Riders commonly booked trips to locations such as Lucky One Mall in Karachi, Emporium Mall in Lahore, Niazi Adda Bus Stop in Lahore, and Faizabad Bus Station in Rawalpindi. These destinations reflected a mix of retail activity and intercity connectivity. Passenger behavior also revealed trends in lost and found items, with shopping bags accounting for 32 percent of items left behind, followed closely by mobile phones at 31 percent and handbags at 10 percent. More unusual belongings recovered during the year included a drill machine, cricket bat, rubab, portable neck fan, baby milk bottle, a bucket of fried chicken wings, and even a canister of cooking oil, highlighting the diverse nature of everyday travel.
Beyond passenger rides, Yango Delivery continued to gain traction, particularly through its Cargo option. Furniture movement emerged as the most common use case, reflecting demand for flexible transport solutions within cities. Around 20 percent of overall deliveries on Yango Delivery were carried out by small and medium businesses, indicating the platform’s growing role in supporting commercial activity and last mile logistics. Yango also maintained a focus on its partner drivers through initiatives aimed at motivation and well being. In 2025, nine drivers fulfilled personal wishes through the Driver Dreams initiative, including three drivers who were able to perform Umrah with their loved ones. Additionally, more than 115 gifts were distributed to partner drivers through raffles and competitions, ranging from a car and motorbikes to Umrah tickets, home appliances, and electronics.
Miral Sharif, Country Head for Yango Pakistan, stated that Yango Ride is proud to contribute to Pakistan’s evolving urban mobility landscape by making transportation more convenient, safe, and accessible. He noted that the platform enables people to move freely in their daily routines, whether for work, family travel, or important appointments. Yango continues to invest in technology and service development, with a focus on faster response times, passenger and partner driver safety, and a seamless user experience, reinforcing its commitment to efficient mobility across Pakistan.
