Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has announced the appointment of Mr. Faisal Jeddy as its new Chief Executive Officer, signaling a continued push to strengthen Pakistan’s technology ecosystem and expand the country’s presence in international IT markets. Operating under Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom (MoITT), PSEB has played a critical role in facilitating the growth of Pakistan’s IT and IT-enabled services sector, and the appointment of Mr. Jeddy is expected to bring fresh expertise and global experience to its strategic initiatives.

Mr. Faisal Jeddy brings over two decades of leadership experience, primarily gained in Silicon Valley, with a strong focus on scaling technology businesses, managing public offerings, and overseeing mergers and acquisitions. His professional journey has involved close collaboration with technology leaders across international markets, allowing him to build a deep understanding of global industry dynamics. Prior to joining PSEB, Mr. Jeddy served as the Global Chief Strategy Officer at Systems Limited, one of Pakistan’s leading IT companies, and continues to hold a leadership role within the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs (OPEN), demonstrating his commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship both locally and abroad.

With his return to Pakistan, Mr. Jeddy is focused on connecting the domestic IT industry with global opportunities while driving strategic growth for the sector. PSEB’s announcement highlighted that his leadership will emphasize strengthening Pakistan’s software and technology export capabilities, enhancing competitiveness, and promoting sustainable development in IT-enabled services. The Board and Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom have expressed confidence that his global experience and strategic vision will guide PSEB toward achieving its objectives of increased market access, enhanced industry collaboration, and improved adoption of international best practices.

Officials at PSEB extended a formal welcome to Mr. Jeddy, noting the potential for his guidance to advance the organization’s mission. The statement underlined the shared ambition to build a future of opportunity and growth for Pakistan’s IT sector, with Mr. Jeddy positioned at the forefront of efforts to bridge the gap between local talent and global technology markets. His appointment arrives at a pivotal moment for Pakistan’s digital economy, as the country continues to seek innovative ways to leverage its skilled workforce, expand export revenues, and strengthen its international technology footprint.

Through his leadership, PSEB aims to foster an environment that encourages innovation, nurtures entrepreneurship, and supports IT companies in accessing international clients and investors. By leveraging Mr. Jeddy’s expertise and global network, the Board anticipates accelerating Pakistan’s evolution into a key player in the international technology and software services landscape. This appointment reinforces the strategic importance of PSEB’s role in the development of the national IT sector and reflects a continued commitment to positioning Pakistan as a competitive and trusted destination for technology solutions.
