In an effort to accelerate the digital transformation of Pakistan’s agriculture sector, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), in partnership with the Livestock and Irrigation Management System (LIMS) and the Ministry of National Food Security and Research (MNFSR), is organizing a special session titled “Agri Stack – Building Digital Infrastructure for Pakistan’s Agricultural Future.” This exclusive gathering aims to bring together agritech and foodtech startups with policymakers, industry experts, and innovation stakeholders to explore the critical role of digital infrastructure in reshaping the country’s agricultural ecosystem.
The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, 8 August 2025 at 10:45 AM at the National Incubation Center (NIC), located in the NITB Building, H-9/1, Islamabad. The session is open to all stakeholders involved in agricultural innovation, particularly startups that are working on cutting-edge solutions for the farming and food value chain. It promises to be a dynamic platform for dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing focused on building an integrated digital framework that supports data-driven agriculture.
The Agri Stack initiative is designed to facilitate the creation of an inclusive digital ecosystem that connects farmers, agribusinesses, technology providers, and government institutions. By addressing the infrastructural and data needs of Pakistan’s agricultural sector, the platform aims to improve productivity, enhance decision-making, and support sustainable growth through tech-enabled solutions. With agriculture being a cornerstone of Pakistan’s economy, digital transformation in this sector holds immense potential to uplift rural livelihoods, enhance food security, and contribute to national development goals.
MoITT’s initiative comes at a time when innovation in agri-data management, precision farming, smart irrigation, and supply chain digitization are becoming increasingly vital to overcome traditional inefficiencies and climate-related challenges. The session will provide startups an opportunity to present their solutions, understand the national vision for Agri Stack, and explore ways to align their innovations with government policy and infrastructure plans.
Participants can expect in-depth discussions on the architecture of Agri Stack, the integration of geospatial and IoT data, farmer onboarding strategies, and the interoperability of platforms across the public and private sectors. The event also serves as a call to action for young innovators to join the movement toward modernizing agriculture through technology.
Interested agritech and foodtech innovators can register for the event by filling out the official form available at https://forms.gle/nGKJFwH3XPDLC1PA8. Given the strategic importance of this session, early registration is encouraged to secure participation in this forward-looking initiative.
The session marks a significant step forward in aligning Pakistan’s agricultural priorities with its digital ambitions, signaling the government’s commitment to creating a smarter and more sustainable agri-economy through innovation.
