Initiates International Internship Program for Graduates 

The Information and Communication Technology sector requires constant innovation and support from the government to function; be it anywhere in the world. KPITB has launched several programs and initiatives encouraging the use of ICT across all industries. The most recent one is targeted at graduates, as they launch the International Internship Program.

The KPITB International Internship Program is specifically designed for the youth of the people in KP to promote the growth of the ICT sector. The aim of this program is to train ICT graduates in the province in the highest caliber possible. This does not only include mastering even the most intricate and advanced skill in the ICT sector but also an understanding of global practices and the collaboration of the workers alongside it. This internship gives fresh graduates the opportunity to travel to China and Taiwan and work there for around 6-8 months. Proper hands-on experience in leading ICT companies in these countries and exposure to the most advanced techniques that are being used. This also includes learning basic Chinese (Mandarin) for better communication.

This not only gives graduates a chance to polish their skillset but also the liberty to expand their circle and job opportunities to a global market. Eligibility criteria has been shared on the KPITB website. The individual must have a graduate degree in either electrical/electronics/computer software/computer systems/ telecommunication/mechatronics engineering or any other relevant field. The individual must also complete a total of 16 years of education. To apply for this program, applicants must register on the website the deadline to apply for this internship is 29th October 2017, 11:00 pm. Taking off to Shanghai, Beijing and Taipei is not all! The program allows graduates to refine their skills in key areas such as Graphic Designing, iOS Development and Cyber Security. This will undoubtedly make this internship quite the experience!
