JS Bank, Abacus Consulting Collaborate to Enhance Digital Platform

Abacus Consulting is a leading management consulting, technology and outsourcing services to a wide range of clientele in the region established in 1987. Recently, Abacus Consulting and JS Bank Limited have signed an agreement for the implementation of Apigee, Google Cloud’s API Management Platform. Apigee is a full lifecycle API management platform that enables application programming interface (API) providers to design, secure, deploy, monitor, and scale their APIs.

The initiative is aimed to create a JS Bank led ecosystem. This means partners, customers, fintech players, and employees can leverage this digital investment and participate in building an API economy.

Apigee for JS Bank’s Fintech Collaboration Strategy

Khurram Shaikh, Chief Digital Officer at the JS Bank, while commenting on the implementation and what it means to therir business shared:

“We are heavily focused on becoming a truly digital bank in Pakistan. This initiative will accelerate JS Bank’s Fintech Collaboration Strategy. This enables us to engage with for the first time the financial developer community. Apigee is a proven cutting-edge platform, offering banking APIs in an agile environment to keep up with the pace of fintech development locally and globally.”

Abbas Ali Khan, Managing Director Abacus Consulting said:

“We are delighted to have been selected by JS Bank as partners in their digital journey. Building on our extensive work with Google Cloud over the past two years, we are confident of this move. Astrong API Management strategy will help bring JS Bank into the forefront of digital banking in Pakistan” 

The implementation would in return help accelerate JS Bank’s strategic plans of becoming the leading digital bank. This project is vested in bringing an enhanced banking experience to the bank’s customers.
