Karachi-based e-health startup, Find My Doctor has raised an investment of Rs 20million, seeking to become a full-fledged virtual hospital in the coming years, by expanding their outreach and services to patients across multiple cities in Pakistan.
Currently, the application is available on Android and iOS, where users can book appointments, and help people in locating hospitals; blood banks, ambulances and PMA (Pakistan Medical Association) certified doctors.

The healthcare startup will be completing two years by the end of the year, but already boasts of 1800 doctors in their database, with specifications of qualifications, specialisations, expertise, their service hours and charges. An added benefit of using the application is that it allows users to record 10-year medical history, helping doctors better understand the patient diagnosis and prescription.
Speaking to Express Tribune, CEO Saad Siddiqui said:
“Healthcare is a difficult market. The funds will enable us to offer three more services to the patients and expand outreach in other cities of the country as well this year.”
Their aim is to take this to at least three new cities by the end of 2017. The new services will be announced at a formal ceremony, after which they will be available in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Just recently, FindMyDoctor has launched a ‘Lab Test at Home’ service as well. Interestingly, the requests for Lab Test at Home services are largely coming in from under-developed and developing areas, indicating the lack of healthcare services available in those localities.
