Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has instructed PTCL, Zong, Telenor, and Nayatel to resolve their bandwidth dispute within three business days.
The directive follows a complaint filed by Nayatel against PTCL, alleging that the latter was not advertising Nayatel’s IP addresses through CMPak (Zong) and Telenor.
Nayatel claims that it opted to purchase internet bandwidth from CMPak and Telenor instead of directly from PTCL due to lower prices. However, PTCL allegedly blocked Nayatel IPs from passing through its network, hindering Nayatel’s ability to buy bandwidth at competitive rates.
Nayatel alleges that PTCL offered lower bandwidth rates to other cable operators, while charging higher rates to Nayatel.
PTA has instructed the involved parties to resolve the issue promptly and submit a detailed response to Nayatel’s complaint within three working days.
