NUST Launches High Impact Skills Development Program in AI, Data Science, and Blockchain in Gilgit-Baltistan

NUST (National University of Sciences and Technology) is proud to announce the launch of an innovative skills development program in the fields of AI, Data Science, and Blockchain in Gilgit-Baltistan. This groundbreaking initiative, in collaboration with the Deep Learning Lab of the National Center of Artificial Intelligence and AI Lounge, aims to revolutionize the educational landscape and empower the talented youth of the GB region.

The program was inaugurated by Chief Secretary GB, Mr. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, and Secretary IT, Mr. Zameer Abbas, who graced the event with their esteemed presence. Their visionary leadership and commitment to fostering technological excellence have paved the way for a brighter future for GB.

Over the course of 6 months, the program will provide intensive training to enrolled students, conducted by highly qualified faculty from NUST’s School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS). The faculty will visit Gilgit and Skardu to equip the students with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills in AI, Data Science, and Blockchain. The aim is to provide limitless opportunities and mentoring sessions to help students thrive in the digital age.

The program is set to enroll an impressive total of 500 students in Gilgit and Skardu, uplifting the youth of GB and empowering them for success. With the expertise of the faculty, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and hands-on learning experiences, NUST is confident that the students will not only become industry-ready professionals but also future innovators and leaders in their respective fields.

This program signifies NUST’s commitment to promoting technological education and skills development in underserved regions, fostering growth and progress in Gilgit-Baltistan. The university believes that by equipping the youth with advanced knowledge and practical skills, they will contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the region and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Pakistan’s tech industry.
