With the count of the Corona virus victims reaching over a thousand, it has become the responsibility of citizens in Pakistan to either make sure they and their family stay safe, or look for ways to counteract the virus. The scientists at NUST Atta-ur-Rahman School of Applied Biosciences (#ASAB) have successfully developed Molecular Diagnostic Assays for the detection of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). NUST Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, a holding company of NUST, is also looking for partners that can assemble, package and distribute Coronavirus Test Kits (CTKs) in different parts of Pakistan. NHL now intends to establish partnership with a firm that possesses expertise as well as infrastructure in the preparation, packaging and distribution of medical supplies, including testing equipment and medicines, in different parts of the country.

NHL intends to prequalify firms with required experience in production and distribution of medical supplies in different parts of the country. According to the group, they have stated the following responsibilities of qualifying firms: 1. Assembly of CTKs as per the specifications provided by NHL. 2. Packaging of CTKs with branding of NHL. 3. Distribution of CTKs to different customers as directed by NHL. 4. Identification of new customers and distribution channels for CTKs. The deadline for submissions of EoIs is 1400 hours on March 21, 2020.
