PTA to block Afghan sims in Pakistan
PTA ordered to block the roaming of Afghan SIMs in Pakistan. This step is being taking to avoid unfavorable situations like terrorism, robbery; kidnapping etc. After its circulation, 45000 illegal SIMs will stop functioning. Earlier, PM, Nawaz Sharif had ordered PTA to block all Afghan SIMs to avoid any further terroristic activities in the country.
Djuice launches Apportunity 2014
Telenor Djuice has launched a program which enables local app developers to showcase their skills. Apportunity 2014 is a competition in which students as well as software developers are required to develop mobile phone applications. With support from P@sha, Djuice has opened this competition to software houses as well. Farid Ahmed, Director Marketing, Telenor Pakistan said that with this competition they aim to provide students a platform to bring creativity in mobile application market. The winners will get a chance to present their app in Digital Winners Global App Developer Challenge 2014 in Oslo, Norway and a chance to win cash prize of $33,000.
PTCL initiates a customer loyalty program
To acknowledge their loyal customers PTCL initiated a loyalty program. The aim was to appreciate customers who have been with the company for more than 30 years. The ceremony was held in Islamabad, where customers were awarded with Life Time Relationship award. Company also presented One Year complimentary usage of Broadband services along with Smart TV services to strengthen this relation.
